Communication:
Written Communication 1.6 I communicate with The Class of 2026 through our Instagram and Facebook pages. I post about upcoming events and need to know information. On the Facebook page I communicate with parents and reach out for donations and opinions. Crowd management 4.3 I have used communication skills by being in charge of my class at flower parties, rallies, etc. At flower parties the class must come together to create something great. Especially this year we had to really come together to finish up our skirt. We came together and I reached out to my other officers when I needed assistance. I also was able to talk with ASB members and teachers also throughout the process to keep my class in check and get the most out of the experience as possible. Interpersonal skills 7.1 I have used communication skills when attending CADA leadership camp. This was an amazing experience and I got to learn a lot along the way. We got to learn about teamwork and how crucial it is, especially when my council had to create the great race. We got to listen and collaborate with schools from all over. It was one of my favorite experiences and taught me a lot to bring back to my school, while also meeting people I still speak to and will never forget. We learned how to work as a team and not only rely on those we know. Government:
Effective meetings 4.4 I utilize government through our class meetings and planning of events. We come together to brainstorm everything we do. Especially when laying out homecoming and our NYC themed Formal. We draw layouts, brainstorm, and plan ahead on what we need. We made sure everyone's ideas are heard and delegated to who we knew could do the job best. Authority and governance 1.3 When planning the event "Freshmen Got Talent" I got to speak with a lot of our faculty with the conflicts I encountered. I spoke to many different layers of our faculty learning the roles they take in our school. I learned a lot about how to run my event and who I can go to for certain things. Along this process, I spoke to Mr. Waggle, Ms. Hartenstein, Ms. Williams, Our local businesses, and so much more. Procedures 2.1 Each year in leadership we must plan efficiently for homecoming. There is very little time of preparation so we must make every minute count. For the past two years about a month before homecoming I meet with some of the key planners from our class to brainstorm the main ideas and construct a plan to move forward with. We prioritize things such as skit and float because these are the key events that must be well designed and ready to introduce to all participating. We make sure to create well thought ideas in the little time we have and planning for the next step. Personal and Social Development: Group Dynamics 1.1 I grow personally and Socially through sports. Through sports I meet new people often and learn more about myself. In Fall of 2022 I played my first season on Tracy High JV volleyball. I continue now with Rage Volleyball Club. Being a part of a sports helps meet new and diverse individuals. I also get o meet a variety of people when playing volleyball. Not only on my team, but the girls we get to compete with. We all have different personalities and work ethics, but work hard as a team to come together and take the win Social and emotional development 3.5 As class president I have to deal with many different people, but most importantly my class. I have to delegate based on strengths and be able to work well with others. This year we have a class of 12 giving me more opportunity to develop connections with different personalities. We create relationships and learn more about each other in the year. Throughout the year we have to continue to keep the class engaged through messages to gain ideas, opinions and withstand involvement. Technology and Digital Citizenship:
Digital Workspace and Collaboration Through this website I use my Technology and Digital Citizenship skills. I used what I know to create this interesting and well organized website. Video and Photography 4.1 I have been a part of running multiple social media accounts. This helps me to understand the importance of videos and photos. When creating Tik Toks, whether for Athletic Perfection or The class of 2026 we include a diverse and large group. Videos and images can get many different people involved or intrigued by what your doing. In being apart of both platforms I have to understand who my target audience is. For the Class of 2026 I am trying to encourage involvement and get people excited about the things happening around the school. This gives a sense of connection and entertainment. For Athletic Perfection the target audience on tiktok is teenage girls, especially those with a love for the sport. They want to see short entertaining videos that connect to this sport they love. The instagram is a little different and is most directed at the parents of the program to make them feel like they are in the gym, back stage, or on stage with the girls at all times. Civic and Social Learning:
Community service 3.3 On September 10, 2022 I was volunteer for the Grand Foundation in their yearly event "Dancing with the Stars." As a volunteer I gave my time to help set up decorations and bring in food. I also talked to guest and directed them where to go, while running the Foundation's Instagram page. This experience gave me the opportunity to talk to adults and the people in my community. Civic and community engagement 1.1 On March 22, 2023 My fellow classmates and I ran "Freshmen Got Talent." In this event we had an overall winner that one many prizes that we got from sponsors. To get these prizes we spoke to many of our local businesses and create relationships with the people we got to meet. Civic and community engagement 1.1 This year I was able to participate in the spirit bus. This was Christian Fontes senior project and it was meant to bring the old spirit back in to the school. We dressed up for each away game to go support the team. We gave our Friday night to spend time with the community and spread the bulldog spirit. There was even one occurrence where the bus did not show, but we all piled into cars and were still able to be there to support our team. |
